Starting out with a political blog.

I look at our great country today, and I see people who have lost faith and lost heart in their government. I see politicians, not a President, Senators, and Representatives, but politicians who only care about be re-elected, and what the special interest groups want. We the People fall by the way side as political parties, personal ambitions, and special interest groups dictate the laws and decisions being made.

When did our great country decide to quit being "We the People" and start being "We the Politicians"?

When did the politicians in Washington decide that they just didn't have to listen, or even represent us, the people who elected them into office?

When did We the People decide that it was OK for politicians to act like this? When did we decide that it wasn't our government anymore, and they they could do what they want without answering to us?

The sad thing is that I am one Angry American. I think that what the politicians in Washington are doing is absolutely shameful! Partisan politics rule the day, and both parties are just as guilty of it. Democratic and Republican party members will vote for or against a piece of legislation based on the party's desires, not the desires of the people. Whether it is good, bad, or completely useless, the political party is what dictates legislation being passed or not. When did a political party, or party affiliation trump the American People?

Recently I have been talking to people, and the thing I hear more than anything is that I am being foolish or stupid to think that anyone in Washington cares about what I have to say. To them I say as an American Citizen the people in Washington had better care about what I have to say, and they better start listening.

For far too long the politicians who WE elected have ignored and walked on us. It is time for us as American people to rise up and take our country back. If the elected politicians in Washington DC will not listen to us, if they do not care about us, then the time has come to elect new people to office! People who will listen, people who do care! My intent of this blog is to talk about some of the many concerns I have, and to inspire others to take up this torch and sound the battle cry, "I elected you to represent me, and you will represent us, the American people, or your term in office is over!"
